Hello everyone, and welcome to our web site! My name is Rick Alvarez. My family and I have been
raising pure-bred Suffolk sheep for about 9 years. We've competed in many different shows, ranging
from Marysville, Ohio's Union County Fair to the North American International Livestock Exposition in
Louisville, Kentucky. I'm proud to say that my children have both been involved in 4-H activities for
most of their lives and have competed in other suffolk-related activities as well.
Although my children have participated in market bred shows, our farm focuses on breeding stock.
We strive to breed top-class animals, and our stock has genes contributed from great sources, such
as Bonnell, George Brothers, MacCauley, Paasch, Brenda Miller, Tuggle, Wifford, Bender,
Riverwood, Bruce, Bunker Hill and Silver Dollar.
Of course, our family has many other interests besides sheep. My oldest son Joshua is currently a
junior at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he studies Medieval History
and Classics. He is abroad in Athens, Greece this spring. My youngest, Bryant, attends Columbus
College of Art and Design where he majors in Illustration.
